Solutions Architect – Virtual Reality Experience Designer

Primary Job Purpose:  To be part of creating, developing and installing/delivering world class Theme Park Ride solutions to the most demanding of customers (external and internal) on a global basis.  This will include making high impact value adding contributions to; pre-sales activity, design work, original content creation, prototyping, solution development, technical problem solving, building components, installations, and project and client management.

Key Responsibilities

  1. To contribute to the development and delivery of innovate, world -class ride solutions
  2. To help drive the development of ideas into prototypes into first releases and finally into finished products
  3. To contribute to ride design reviews, site surveys, technical reviews and fact finding/scoping/project reviews always to the highest professional standards.
  4. To prepare content/material/data/specs/models/schematics/assets and equipment in the most compelling and appropriate ways
  5. To provide installation input to the required standards of time quality and cost
  6. To identify other opportunities through effective customer engagement and account management practices
  7. To contribute to the creation of innovative new IP
  8. To be a Holovis ‘person on the ground’ at the most senior and complex level as required anywhere in the world

Desired Skills and Experience

Your core technical skills:

  • Designing optical layouts
  • Blending multi channel systems
  • Manually aligning projector arrays
  • Edge blending
  • Projector mapping
  • Developing control systems
  • Programming media servers

It would be great if you had skills in:

  • Scaleable
  • Optical Blending
  • Media format and specification knowledge (ie 4:4:4, 4:2:2, RLE Compression, TGA sequencing and conversion)
  • 7th Sense/Medialon/Crestron/AMX control
  • Designing sound systems
  • Knowledge of Dolby 5.1 and 9.1
  • Digital sound processing
  • Colour balance projectors
  • Real-time projection mapping
  • Technical project management
  • Media creation

Your core experience:

  • Working with complex AV systems
  • Customer facing AV installation experience

It would be great if you had experience in:

  • Industrial and manufacturing applications

  • Working in China/ UAE/Europe/USA

You will need:

  • Full EU driving licence
  • Right to work in the UK
  • Ability to work away from home
  • No restrictions on travel through Europe, North America, UAE and China

It would be great if you had:

  • Engineering or technical degree
  • EU Passport
  • No restrictions on travel globally
  • Clean EU driving licence
