Project Manager – Software Delivery

Primary Job Purpose:

The primary objective is to successfully deliver specific projects to customers, on time, to budget and quality through effective resource optimisation and the application of robust project and programme management techniques.  The role involves:

  1. Managing projects and programmes of work in the UK and globally
  2. Delivering projects such as visualisation software, CAVEs, Domes and theme park rides

 Responsibilities

Project Management

  1. Delivery of Industrial and Entertainment projects to agreed success criteria
  2. Ensuring the use of best practice within the project
  3. Establishing and agreeing baseline project scope, budget and timescales
  4. Identifying and managing project RAID criteria
  5. Keeping up to date costings sheets
  6. Identifying and managing dependencies which may affect the success of the project, including 3rd party activities
  7. Assigning, controlling, leading and motivating all project resources
  8. Managing sponsor and other stakeholder expectations through regular reporting and communication
  9. Managing resources, equipment, and the procurement of items for projects
  10. Maintaining an effective project audit trail.
  11. Maintaining the highest standards of health and safety at all times

People Management:

  1. Assembling and matrix managing a project team which has the right mix of skills to deliver the project
  2. Planning and managing the deployment of resources to meet project milestones
  3. Setting achievable objectives and taking responsibility for making decisions and for providing constructive feedback
  4. Communicating difficult or sensitive information tactfully

Financial Management:

  1. Managing projects to budget and producing budget reports for work done and forecasts for future costs
  2. Reviewing project profitability and margin performance
  3. Assuring project legal documents are completed and signed

 

About You

  • Experience of site surveys and installations
  • Preferably APMP, Agile or PRINCE2 Qualified
  • Experience of having managed at least five projects end to end, with full budget responsibility
  • You’ll need an EU Passport and a driving licence
  • Happy to travel you’ll need to spend nights away, both in the UK and on long haul trips
  • Experience of working with international teams across borders would be great
