The Flash joins Justice League: A Call For Heroes at Madame Tussauds Sydney

Madame Tussauds Sydney has opened Justice League: A Call For Heroes and launched a new character into the experience; The Flash.

This follows the success of the experience opening at Madame Tussauds Orlando in May, breaking the mould for the brand by for the first time letting guests star in the attraction alongside the wax superheroes.

Throughout this walk-through attraction, guests can engage with the superheroes and bring their powers to life through interactive sequences using combinations of projection mapping, enhanced audio and SFX.

To interact with The Flash, guests need to trigger his super speed by running alongside him as fast as they can to unlock the immersive sequence of projection, lighting effects and SFX including sound and wind.

The experience design and delivery has been led by Merlin Magic Making, the creative division of Merlin Entertainments, parent company to Madame Tussauds. We were brought on to produce and deliver the AV, show lighting and interactive elements and theming company Daniel’s Wood Land created the themed environments.

This level of interaction with the figures is one of the most immersive and unique experiences ever produced by the Madame Tussauds brand worldwide. To ensure that the characters and the guests are still the star of the show, we’ve used invisible technologies to facilitate this experience, with guests carrying out the motion-based tasks entirely naturally then being amazed by the immersive scenes that engulf them.

Other characters in experience include Wonder Woman; where guests strike her iconic pose alongside her to activate her power gauntlets to create an explosion, Superman; where guests need to use his strength to lift a helicopter alongside the first dynamic, fully-articulated Madame Tussauds figure and Batman; where guests need to fire the Bat Signal to reveal the formidable figure through billowing smoke and wind.
