As part of a national drive to help UK manufacturers prepare for the next, digitally-driven, industrial age, a special Manufacturing Connect event will take place on 21st June at our UK Demonstration Campus.
This is being held by EEF, the manufacturers’ organisation, and Oracle, the American multinational computer technology corporation. The aim is to explore the evolution phase of the 4IR journey and the practices and solutions manufacturers have adopted to optimise their operations, improve connectivity, communication and access to data to ensure greater productivity and future growth.
As part of the experience will be hosting a site wide tour showing guests the advances that we are making in virtual manufacturing as well as collaborative design using Mixed Reality, safety simulators, original media creation and our extensive work in the attractions industry.
Speakers include Dave Elliott, Enterprise Business Development Manager at Holovis, Vikram Singla, Supply Chain and Product Innovation Cloud Apps Leader for Oracle and Martin Strutt, Consultancy Director at EEF. The three will share the latest insights into the challenges and benefits of 4IR, explore business transformation programmes that will help firms get ‘future fit’ and provide opportunities for businesses to network and solve problems together.
